Every Solana meme coin, whether it lives for six minutes or six months, tends to move through the same four-stage cycle. Learning to spot which stage a coin is in beats chasing green candles blind.

Stage one is the launch. A token appears on pump.fun, usually with nothing but a name, a ticker, and a meme. Early buyers are either insiders, snipers running bots, or degens scrolling the new-pairs feed. Price action here is pure noise — a handful of buys can send a freshly launched token up several hundred percent, and a handful of sells can just as easily erase it. This stage is where most coins die.

Stage two is the pump. If a coin survives long enough to build real buy pressure, it climbs the bonding curve toward graduation to Raydium. Stage four is the fade. Volume dries up, the Telegram group goes quiet, and the chart grinds toward zero over days or weeks. A small number of coins survive this stage by finding a genuine community and becoming a longer-term "hold," but the vast majority simply die on the vine, replaced in everyone's attention by whatever launched an hour ago.
